As predecessor of Wuhan Youji,Wuhan Organic Synthesis Factory was founded in 1956.In Jan. 1994,it was made over and Wuhan Youji Industries Co.Ltd. emerged. After public bid and appraisal in 2003,the management team bought 54.39% stock of the total from local government and the privatized process was completed. After making-over, its total assets and net assets increased to RMB350 million and RMB165 million respectively. It ranks among Second Grade of National Big Enterprises,top 50 taxpayer in Wuhan,top 200 taxpayer in Hubei province and top 200 taxpayer in chemical industry. With an area of 93000 square meters,it has 1100 employees. Among them,138 employees are graduated from colleges or universities and 73 of them has a medium or senior technical title .In particular,3 technicians have been acquiring subsidies from government.
As a main production and export base for organic chemicals in Wuhan,it produces food additives and intermediates for Pharmaceuticals, Pesticides and organic synthesis with a total annual output of around 100000mt.Its products are classified into more than 100 kinds in 5 series of Oxidization of Aromatic Hydrocarbons,Chlorination of Aromatic Hydrocarbons, Amination of Aromatic Hydrocarbons,special rubbers and other fine chemicals. In terms of capacity, quality,production technologies and market shares, its mainstream products such as Sodium Benzoate and Benzyl Chloride are No. 1 in China and also one of the best in the world.

It got the license for direct international business in 1995 and established Wuhan Organic Chemicals Import&Export Company in 2001.In 2002 Wuhan Youji Zaoyang Plant was founded. It also opens offices in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
